#Personhood would ban all abortions-NO EXCEPTIONS & would ban emergency contraception! #COPolitics

Fofi Mendez, Campaign Director
Despite Coloradans history of overwhelmingly rejecting “Personhood” measures, it will be back on the ballot in November. On August 7, The Denver Post’s Idea Log (Opinion Blog) named its return “Day’s Worst: Return of Colorado’s Personhood Amendment.” The piece talks about the history of the Amendment, and its chances of electoral success.
This year, the “Personhood” Amendment is a political firestorm, but, as an issue committee, the NO Personhood Campaign has to stay focused on what it means for all Coloradans. The amendment is more than a political horserace: It will determine who has the right to make personal decisions in our families.
Everyone is talking about the wide margin of victory in past elections. They are correct. Coloradans overwhelmingly reject this government intrusion into their personal lives.
Here is what we cannot lose sight of:
We cannot let the proponents find any victory, gain any point, make any momentum in our state. As Abigail Pesta says in The Daily Beast, the “‘Personhood’ approach has been meeting with success: last year, states enacted a record 135 abortion restrictions, according to the Guttmacher Institute, a research group that focuses on reproductive rights. Mason has said his group has more than 80,000 volunteers across the country and that he ‘won’t go down without a fight.” Their movement started in Colorado. Any momentum here just feeds their march across the country, and even into Europe.
Sign the resolution to oppose the Personhood Amendment. Come to our events. Get involved on Facebook. Tweet about it. Don’t let “Personhood” gain any ground here.

A reminder to Colorado voters … Say no to “personhood” … if passed it would:
